Films was founded in 2012 by Burton Ritchie and Ben Galecki〔http://www.pnj.com/story/news/2014/06/01/heretic-films-burton-richie-ben-galecki/9845519/〕 after a short, initial incarnation as Rather Good Film, co-founded with Daniel Konrad-Cooper.〔http://rathergoodfilm.co.uk/about-dkc/〕 Shortly after its transition to Heretic Films, Gregory Segal〔http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/gregory-segal-joins-heretic-films-737008〕 joined the company along with board members Kevin Pollak〔http://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2015/01/laughter-pain-and-indie-filmmaking-an-interview-with-kevin-pollak.html〕 and Jason Alexander. Segal left the company in October 2015.
